New for TOG 2010, specialised industry pavilions
TOG has developed into a major oil and gas event in the worldwide oil and gas calendar. In order to facilitate the event for both exhibitors and visitors, we have created special pavilions, where interested parties will be able to find the products and services they require easily and talk with specialists directly. TOG will of course feature general pavilions as before for companies who do not fall into the below categories.
TOG Oil Training Pavilion
Libya is encouraging national employment and increased productivity of employees in the oil sector through deeper involvement of its local training departments. The TOG Training Pavilion will be dedicated to companies who are active in the training, human resources education and consultancy fields. It will allow companies based in Libya who have a human resource development requirements to discuss their needs directly with solution providers.
TOG Libya National Oil Services Partnership Pavilion
Through recent legislation Libya has introduced a system where international companies need to establish local operations to qualify for engineering contracts. The Libyan National Oil Service Partnership Pavilion will feature many of Libya’s main indigenous oil services company, and it will be a meeting place to allow international companies to discuss cooperation with the best local companies in Libya for the sustainable future of Libya’s oil and gas industry.
TOG Petrochemical, Gas and LNG Pavilion
In the last few years, concentration in the Libyan Oil and Gas industry has been on the upstream sector, increased importance is now being placed on the downstream sector, and the added value that Libya’s oil and gas riches can contribute to augment the industrial output of the Libyan economy. The Government of Libya has allocated about $10 billion for a program to upgrade and expand the country’s oil refining and petrochemical sectors.
Expansion of natural gas production remains a high priority for Libya: it aims to use natural gas instead of oil domestically for power generation, therefore freeing up more oil for export. Libya has vast natural gas reserves and is looking to increase its natural gas exports, particularly to Europe. Libya’s natural gas resources were 54.4 trillion cubic feet (tcf) in 2009. The TOG Petrochemical, Gas and LNG Pavilion will feature new and existing companies in these industries offering solutions to the demands of the Libyan oil and gas industry.
