Dear colleague,
On behalf of the forum committees and all Libyan Petroleum Institute employees, I would like to invite you to join one of the largest Oil and Gas gatherings in North Africa. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the fifth Technology of Oil and Gas Forum (TOG-2010) which will be organized in Tripoli International Fair at the central part of the beautiful Mediterranean city of Tripoli from 12th to 14th October, 2010.
Under the forum theme, Oil and Gas Technology for Sustainable Energy Resources and Petrochemical Products TOG2010 will cover both upstream and downstream activities as well as new and environment friendly technologies. The forum will include many networking and social events in addition to the two standard core components of TOG forums, the rich technical program and the large products and services exhibition. Pre-conference workshops as well as post-conference field trips will also be offered. In addition a special forum for young authors will be organized under the name of TOG Youth Forum. Excursions to the most interesting places in Tripoli and its vicinity will be available to participants and accompanied persons. As in previous TOG forums, you can expect vast opportunities to meet with diversity of colleagues from a variety of companies and institutions.
It is my hope that this message reaches you in good health and spirits, and that I will see you in October in Tripoli Libya at this spectacular event.

Dear colleague in the oil and gas industry,
The organizing committee is pleased to invite you to this year's session of the Technology of Oil and Gas forum (TOG-2010). I have been honored to chair this ever growing biannual event since it was first established in year 2002. My colleagues and I have been enjoying seeing signs of satisfaction on the faces of most participants during the past four sessions. That was an invaluable reward to us. TOG will celebrate its fifth anniversary This year. We will do our best to deserve the benefit of seeing similar reactions.
TOG had constantly enjoyed the valuable support of the National Oil Corporation (NOC). We are proud that NOC endorsement to TOG-2010 is far beyond mere support. NOC is actively represented in the organizing committee and all subcommittees of this year's forum.
TOG-2010 theme Oil and Gas Technology for Sustainable Energy Resources and Petrochemical Products reflects Libya's and the world concern about sustainability, (defined here as the responsible exploration and exploitation of oil and gas resources). Taking climate change in consideration, oil and gas industry has no choice other than being more environment friendly and try to reduce the carbon footprint of the explored and exploited barrel of oil and cubic foot of gas. Technology is the only tool for meeting this demand.
In TOG forums we aim at letting people sense the meaning of a forum and benefits from the opportunity of having many other people in their own field of specialization gathered in the same place. TOG-2010 program is designed to achieve this goal. Many networking opportunities will be available to the participants through the event.
We look forward to seeing you joining TOG regular participants in celebrating its fifth anniversary in the beautiful city of Tripoli and adding to your valuable address book new important contacts.
